Siabhon knows first hand what it is like to struggle with the healthcare system. Navigating the system we currently have while her daughter was fighting cancer was a nightmare. The services that are crucial to stay healthy, but not offered to low income individuals under our current system, should be available for all, such as full dental and vision. Healthcare is a fundamental right. Creating a healthcare system that is easily navigated and provides the appropriate care for each individual should be our focus.

Siabhon is a single parent of three children. She knows how hard it is out here for people who only have one income to take care of all expenses. That is why she is in favor of, and will do all she can to create, livable wages for EVERY family.

Washington State has the most regressive tax system in the nation. Taxing only our sales means our lower income residents pay a disproportionate amount of their income towards taxes. We must reframe how we tax our residents to make sure everyone is paying their fair share.

Siabhon is pro-choice. She believes in a woman's right to choose what happens to her own body.

Siabhon wants to make sure she works hard to make housing affordable and equitable for the low-income residents of Lakewood. Siabhon knows personally how hard it has become to make enough money to pay the rising rents in Pierce County. The issues that surround our housing crisis were at the forefront of Siabhon's decision to run for city council.

What is equal is not always equitable. Siabhon wants to do all she can to make sure everyone receives the support they need to create a personal environment that gives them the space to strive to become the best version of themselves.

Siabhon knows that educating our people, whether it be in preschool, k-12, trade school, or college, helps our society as a whole. The ability to pay for education should not be a barrier for anyone who has a vision for their own life and who is driven to turn that vision into a reality. We need to give people the opportunity to fully actualize their potential. When we do that, we will have a more robust and alive society.

There should be no way for those who have more money to influence our political system more than those who have no money. The will of the people should be what influences our political systems. Not how much money is donated from what special interest group. Siabhon has taken the no fossil fuel pledge to ensure she does not take any money EVER from the fossil fuel industry.

Siabhon is entirely against the creation of the LNG plant. Washington should work as hard as possible to pull away from fossil fuels whatsoever. We should be looking into creating renewable energy from sources such as hemp. There are many problems with building the LNG plant, the governor has withdrawn his support of it, the Attorney General called the SEIS "fictional" and most importantly, the Puyallup Tribe is against it. Liquid FRACKED Gas is not our future.
